Kent Prep recently sponsored a special Christmas event at our newly reopened Manhattan office, hosted by FISCUS, a student-led organization dedicated to helping high school students build awareness around personal finance and investment strategies. The organization was founded by Kent Prefect ’25 David Shinsu, a graduate of Francis Lewis High School.
The event welcomed approximately 25 students for an engaging and informative session focused on financial literacy—an essential life skill that meaningfully complements academic success. Students gained practical insights into money management, investing fundamentals, and the development of habits that foster long-term financial confidence.
We were thrilled to see such strong student engagement and thoughtful participation throughout the session. Hosting FISCUS in our Manhattan space was a meaningful way to bring real-world learning opportunities directly to our students, and it marked another exciting milestone since the reopening of our office.
Kent Prep looks forward to continuing to encourage and support partnerships like this one—initiatives that prepare students not only for academic achievement, but for life beyond the classroom.
Kudos to the FISCUS team—great job, everyone!
